Kurt Zubatiuk
Kurt Zubatiuk is a poet, printer/finisher and jack of many trades. He has
been featured at the I.V. Lounge, Art Bar and Paul Bouissac's Le Gourmand
reading series. He won 2nd prize in Hidden Brook Press' Seeds 5 Contest.
His recent book, Ekstasis, was published by Lyricalmyrical. He is the
founder of the micropress, Press On! and lives in Toronto.
Jay MillAr
Jay MillAr is a Toronto poet, editor, publisher, and virtual bookseller.
His most recent collection is, the small blue (Snare Books, 2007). In 2006
he published Double Helix (The Mercury Press) a collaborative work written
with Stephen Cain. MillAr is the shadowy figure behind BookThug, an
independent publishing house dedicated to cutting edge work, as well as
Apollinaire's Bookshoppe, a virtual bookstore that specializes in the
books that no one wants to buy. He teaches creative writing at George
Brown College.
Nik Beat
Nik Beat is a native Torontonian who has been writing and playing in
various bands as lead singer/guitarist for the past seventeen years.
Currently he is the host of HOWL, a weekly radio show on CIUT FM. He and
his show have been profiled by Peter Goddard (Toronto Star) and Imprint
(TVO). His most recent book of poetry is The Tyranny of Love (Seraphim
Editions).

Mike Freeman
Mike Freeman writes poetry, short fiction and screenplays. His work has
appeared in such journals as Rampike, CV2 and Kiss Machine, and he won the
Art Bar Poetry Idol in 2005. He currently hosts a weekly poetry series,
the Bibliopunk Poetry Podcast, available on iTunes or at
www.bibliopunk.com. He will be celebrating his second trade book titled,
Bones.
Steve Venright
Steve Venright is the author of four books of poetry in prose including
Spiral Agitator (Coach House Books) and Floors of Enduring Beauty
(Mansfield Press). He has released several recordings through Torpor Vigil
Industries. These include A Natural History of Southwestern Ontario, a
co-release with Coach House Books featuring voice and text by Christopher
Dewdney and soundscapes by Steve Venright. He lives in Toronto.
Truth Is
Truth Is has become a Toronto Poetry Slam, 100 Dollars Slam, and ESC
Mississauga Slam champion. She was a finalist at the Up From The Roots'
5th Annual Slam. In 2007 she was a member of the Toronto Poetry Slam Team
that competed in the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word in Halifax. Her
poetry has aired on FLOW 93.5's OTA Live and on CBC 99.1's Big City, Small
World.

Elizabeth Bachinsky
Elizabeth Bachinsky is the author of two collections of poetry:
Curio:Grotesques and Satires from the Electronic Age (BookThug) and Home
of Sudden Service (Nightwood Editions). Her poetry has been nominated for
the Bronwen Wallace Award and the Governor General's Award. She currently
lives in Vancouver where she curates the Robson Reading Series and serves
as poetry editor for Event magazine.
Sasha Manoli
Sasha Manoli is a creative writing student at Concordia University. In
2006 her chapbook, To My Veins, was published by Lyricalmyrical Press. Her
poetry was included in the recent anthology, Garden Variety (Quatrro
Books). She is co-creator of WithWords Press, a small discovery chapbook
press.
Tomy Bewick
First featured at Ottawa's Capital Slam 2005, Tomy Bewick was invited to
compete in the 2006 CBC Poetry Face-Off. Since then he has been pushing
his work on many levels: a fledgling clothing company (Truth Proof);
visionpoems; chapbook (A Telling Moment); Spoken Word CD (Talking It Out
Of The System); multi-media showcase (Open Minds Respect Events). A member
of the poetry collective, Family Reunion, his main focus is on the youth
of today and tomorrow. He competed in the 2007 Canadian Festival of Spoken
Word, as part of the Roots Lounge Toronto team.
