Clinton's, 693 Bloor Street West, right by Christie Subway Station.

TUESDAY DECEMBER 2

Di Brandt
Di Brandt holds a Canada Research Chair in English/Creative Writing at
Brandon University in Manitoba. She has published ten books of poetry and
has collaborated with artists in other media including installation artist
Aganetha Dyck and her honeybees, and composer Jana Skarecky. Her awards
include Canadian Authors Poetry Prize, National Magazine Silver Medal
Award, McNally Robinson Book of the Year, and the Gerald Lampert Award.
Her recent poetry book, Now You Care (Coach House Books) was shortlisted
for the Griffin Poetry Prize, the Trillium Book Award and the Pat Lowther
Award.

Adam Sol
Adam Sol is the author of three books of poetry. Crowd of Sounds (Anansi
Press) won the 2004 Trillium Award for Poetry. He is the author of essays
and reviews for publications such as The Globe and Mail, The Forward,
Bookninja.com and Critique. He will be celebrating Jeremiah, Ohio (Anansi
Press). He lives in Toronto.

Nordine Beason
With over 50 live performances under her belt, Nordine Beason (aka the
Storm) is a spoken word artist/performance poet. She has built a solid
reputation based on her honest and thought-provoking poetry. This native
Torontonian has been performing in Ontario for over seven years.


TUESDAY DECEMBER  9

Laura Farina
Laura Farina's first book of poetry, This Woman Alphabetical (Pedlar
Press), won the 2006 Archibald Lampman Award. Her poetry was recently
featured in This Magazine. She currently lives in Banff, where she
coordinates the Banff Centre Press.

Afua Cooper
Afua Cooper is a scholar, author and poet. She earned a PhD in Canadian
History with a focus on the Black communities of 19th century Ontario. She
is the author of The Hanging of Angelique: The Untold Story of Slavery in
Canada and the Burning of Old Montreal (Harper Collins). This book was
nominated for the Governor General's Award in 2006. Afua has published
five books of poetry, the latest of which is Copper Woman and Other Poems
(Natural Heritage Press).

Norm Cristofoli
Norm Cristofoli is a poet and spoken word performer and publisher of The
Labour of Love literary magazine. He is co-founder of the Coffeehouse
website (www.coffeehouse.ca) for independent artists. He lives in Toronto.

AUDIENCE APPRECIATION NIGHT
General merriment is guaranteed on this annual evening of words and music.
There will be the complimentary chapbook of poetry; readings by the Art
Bards; live music from New Orleans style jazz band Canal Street Four
(ladies bring your parasols!). No hat will be passed.
